Yes, good people, I have been spotted.
I was photographed for the front page of the local newspaper.
I did not go there to get acclaim. I joined with my sisters and brothers who were alarmed that unethical politicians were eating a pig unethically in celebration of their unethics. This unethicalness is preposterous and unethical.

hereHowever I am extremely upset at the newspaper called me a performance artist. I am a revolutionary chef! The media has belittled me so that they can belittle the will of the people. They accuse me and the others of being actors so that our hunger for justice, peace, and politicians that invite everyone to the table is just something to be dismissed.
Good people, I am not an actor. I really cook and I really believe the revolution starts in the kitchen. And these good people here in Anchorage, are hungry for social change and those that felt it was entertainment or just antics by the few are as disconnected to the people as to the food they eat.
And here's a recipe to help keep you connected to your community, your food and to keep you refreshed when you thirst for justice, peace, and compassion:
taco pao1 lb. of ground free range (ask its permission before eating and give thanks for it sacrificing its life for you) turkey or tofu
lawry taco spice (no schillings, porfa)
1 head of lettuce
3 tomates
1 lb. sharp cheddar queso
1 dz. flour tortillas de harina (the best are de san anto)
a bottle of safflower oil (as needed)
brown meat in a 7” pan. follow instructions on lawry package after meat is browned. fry tortillas while meat is simmering the spice.
shred lettuce, place in bowl.
cut tomatoes into cubes, place in different bowl.
shred cheese, place in different than the other different bowl.
place oil in pan. put heat on medium high. put tortilla in oil. (cuidado w/the oil..es tan peligroso) fry for around a minute. turn over. fold in a half in a u-shape with the uncooked side out. the best way to do this is with a spatula and a fork. fry the two sides. place on paper towel to get all that nasty aceite out. replenish oil as needed. Remember, do not waste your oil. Our dependency on foregin oil is the reason why we are in this war! or until out of tortillas.
two tacos per person are plenty unless you have big hungry Xicanos from Soledad, Califas or amigos Sa’moa like I do.
Get someone to help you do the lettuce, tomate, and cheese, so you can chismear or engage in a dialogue about a pressing issue affecting your community. I always like talking about education or religion when I make tacos, it gives me that learned holy feeling while I eat.
