The digital ferrets are working hard to put the past events here in this section. Due to a lack of funds for Roscoe's Chicken & Waffles, the ferrets quit during these months and went to work for Donald Trump who subsequently fired them. They are back on the job and will be putting new info here soon, but meanwhile...I have everything from June 2006 to now on Myspace, so check it out.

Also, we received a National Performance Network Creation Fund grant for Man/Mard: farid to freddie mercury, a documentary theater performance based on interviews with and about Iranian men, exploring the concept of iranidad (spanish for iraniness) and how it gets created here in the U.S. We will be working with artists to create a show focused on the image of Iranian men inside and outside the Iranian community and how this fits with how immigrant reimage themselves, all guided by freddy mercury, lead singer of Queen, who reimagined himself from his Persian roots into a rock star.

And...to top it off...Artistic Director robert karimi will be directing a show in Minneapolis entitled Anatomy of a Hmong Girl by May Lee Yang in Fall 2008 at the Playwright's Center.
